a sultry and soulful
voice with the intensity of r
hythm & blues, harkening back to the
styles of Besse Smith, Billie Holiday, and Dinah Washington to
Nina Simone and Aretha, and fusing with the pop sounds of
contemporary singers like Amy Winehouse,
Christina Aguilera
and Pink.
